David Cochran
David Cochran heads SY Group as the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director.
David’s breadth of industry experience and knowledge enables him to provide sound financial advice to high net worth individuals, with a particular focus on asset protection, superannuation, business structures and estate planning.
His understanding and compassionate nature enables him to assist his client’s requirements, throughout all stages of their life, to ensure their financial affairs are carefully managed. His dedication has enabled him to develop and maintain lifelong business relationships, with the client’s best interest always at heart.
David holds a Bachelor of Business and is an Affiliate of Chartered Accounts Australia and New Zealand, and a member of Certified Practising Accountants, Taxation Institute of Australia, Taxpayers Association and The Executive Connection (alumni). He is a registered tax agent and chartered tax adviser.
David is on a number of Boards including Firbank Grammar School.
David is a proud father of two children and a sporting enthusiast, including life member and games record holder of Old Brighton Grammarians Football Club. He is currently dividing his attention between his children’s sports and supports numerous sporting associations with active membership.

With over 30 years of experience in the public chartered accounting space, Con Papageorgiou heads SY Group as the foundation director, guiding the company through its years of growth to be cemented as one of South Yarra’s most respected firms.
Con’s expertise in public accounting enables him to assist a broad spectrum of industry clients, with a particular focus on property development issues and HR requirements. His area of expertise extends to small to medium businesses, where his wealth of industry knowledge enables him to offer an unrivaled service on accounting and taxation requirements.
Supporting the company’s mission statement of delivering quality service but not compromising quality of life, Con endeavors to foster a nurturing and learning environment for both his staff and clients, in an effort to help them achieve their goals, whether personal or business.
Con holds a Bachelor of Economics and is a respected member of Chartered Accountants ANZ, advancing to status of Fellow in April 2010.
In his spare time, Con can be found enjoying the Mediterranean beaches and lace-curtained bistros of France with his wife and three children, or dividing his attention between a game of AFL, soccer and cricket, with his passion extending to both local and professional matches.

Overseeing all facets of the financial side of SY Group, Jason is instrumental in positioning SY Group as a quality and customer driven firm, acting as the key contact point for clients.
Jason’s understanding nature, coupled with his wealth of knowledge, has enabled him to become a trusted advisor for many small businesses, guiding them through the ebb and flow of an ever-changing economic landscape.
His experience and skill set enables him to not only assist, but also educate clients on their budget, cash flow forecasts and taxation requirements. Jason is a firm believer in transparency and empowering his clients with the necessary knowledge to make sound financial judgements.
Jason is a qualified chartered accountant and holds a Bachelor of Business. He is the proud father of two young girls, a passionate AFL supporter and a horse racing enthusiast.
Adam Stevens
Adam joined SY Group Chartered Accountants in 2002 after beginning his career in public practice in 1996. His skills were enhanced through his experience of working abroad in the finance industry for two years in London. On returning to Melbourne he joined the practice and became a partner of SY Group in 2006.
Adam focuses on the area of taxation, business services and superannuation for a wide range of clients from property developers, professionals, small to medium businesses and high net worth families and individuals. He particularly enjoys maintaining strong working relationships with his clients and providing them with practical solutions to assist in their goals of greater profitability, growth and wealth creation in addition to their compliance obligations.
Adam is supported by an enthusiastic team that assist him in providing the highest level of service, advice and support.
Adam is a qualified chartered accountant and holds a Bachelor of Business. He is the proud father of two children and an avid lover of travel, food, wine, golf and cycling.
Robert Jensen
Robert Jensen boasts over three decades worth of chartered accounting experience and is SY Group’s taxation specialist, providing taxation and compliance services to high net worth individuals and family groups.
With a particular passion for small to medium enterprises (SMES), Robert’s invaluable knowledge enables him to provide comprehensive advice on all aspects of taxation and business services across a range of industry sectors.
Robert has been instrumental in the ongoing success of SY Group and prides himself on his ability to build and maintain lifelong relationships with his clients, whom he continues to still work alongside 30 years later.
Robert is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand. He also holds a Bachelor of Economics and a Master of Taxation. He is the proud father of two children, a football and basketball enthusiast and enjoys spending his spare time gardening or delving into a book.
